It is with great sadness that I must report the loss of another good friend and faithful member of The George Formby Society. I refer to dear Lynn Raybould who, along with her beloved husband Leigh, could be found in the front row of every Blackpool convention of recent years. Lynn was well known to all the Blackpool regulars and could always be relied upon to come up with some great photographs of many convention moments and personalities. Many are the occasions that I have relied upon Lynn for images, for our website, that only she had the foresight to snap. Leigh and Lynn joined the GFS in early 2013 and rarely missed a Blackpool meeting. They also took to the stage at the March 2018 convention and their efforts received warm applause. She was a great friend to Christine Richards and assisted her in managing the highly successful GFS Stourbridge branch. There is always a warm greeting when anyone arrives at the branch and Lynn was always there with Christine to ensure that long-distance travellers were especially welcome. On behalf of all in the George Formby Society, I offer sincere condolences to Leigh. It is Leigh's request that no one contact him, send sympathy cards or make comments on social media.
