The video clip created by Matt Richards for the George Formby Virtual Thrash group playing “The Window Cleaner” was shown on ITV News North-West on Tuesday 25 May 2021. GFS committee member Neil Forshaw appeared to highlight the fact that we have had no conventions since November 2019. The clip also highlighted the fact that the George Formby Birthday Race will be held shortly at Haydock Park The clip was a nice boost both for the GFS and obviously for the efforts of all the George Formby Virtual Thrash zoom team who have now been meeting every night without fail since 20 March 2020.
