Join GFS President, Andrew Poppleton, as he demonstrates the

Formby Strokes. This class is the perfect opportunity for begin-

ners or intermediate players wishing to further their progress.

He will discuss how to play Formby strumming patterns (the

split stroke, the triple etc.) and how to best utilise these tech-

niques in a Formby Ukulele solo.

Stuart Lowther presents a fascinating workshop where he will

showcase a selection of instruments from his collection and

will cover the interesting history of Ludwig, Abbott, and

Gibson. As well as highlighting some features of each instru-

ment, he will also discuss how he set them up. This class will

help those members looking to improve the tone of their

instruments.
