Sales stalwart Cyril and Sheila had many Society friends
Cyril Palmer I heard very sad news today when word came through that long-term GFS member Cyril Palmer has passed away. Cyril was a leading light at the Sale branch for many years and regularly attended the Blackpool conventions until failing health prevented him from making the trip. Cyril always played a wooden ukulele and was a very sweet singer. Cyril and his wife Sheila were very well known throughout the Society and it is sad to relate that Sheila is also in poor health at this time. Cyril and Shelia had many friends in Yorkshire, they would attend many Yorkshire Ukulele Circle meetings in the 1990s. On behalf of all GFS friends who knew Cyril, I extend sincerest condolences to Shelia and their family. Sheila Palmer Update 26/04/2014 I have now been informed that Friday, 25th April 2014 Sheila passed away. After a long illness Sheila is now at the rest and this devoted couple are reunited once again. There will be a double funeral on May 23rd at 10.30am at Our Lady and the English Martyrs Church in Urmston. The address is 5 Roseneath Road, Urmston, Manchester M41 5AX
